Today marks the first time since Michigan and Florida’s “elections” that
Obama would be ahead of Clinton even with the inclusion of both states in the delegate count. Keep in mind, too, that Obama wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan, and so Clinton would receive a disproportionate (and fraudulent) boost from the inclusion of those delegates (if apportioned on the basis of the bogus primary). If Richardson’s endorsement serves to sway a large number of undecided superdelegates to support Obama, the delegates from Florida and Michigan could be seated to vote anyway they choose. The Democratic party could then begin to heal from the cold and calculated divisions that were thrust upon us by the DLC status quo. Let’s hope.
